Vibration issues

Yea i know guys its mostly due to bad motor mounts, wheels not balanced properly, tire rods and stuff. This I ahvent really baan able to understand. So basically the vibration come in at 55mph to around 65. First thing i thought, wheels need to be balanced. Got those done and its still there. I was thinkin if it motor mounts, it should vibrate a lot earlier and harsher. Any idea what it could be? Below 55 i dont feel any vibration

Could be a wheel bearing or cv joints also.

I have this bad on the ae82. I think it's a number of things with my car:

on the front wheels, 1 stud is missing it's nut (both left n right)
the back passenger wheel seems to be wobbling, ill remove the wheel and re-seat it and see if that goes away

I will probably put the 13's on and see if problem still there.

One thing for sure, if problem persists, insult your tech.

I had recentl put in a rebuilt axle on the drivers side. Passenger one is the stock OEM. Just had my alignment done and its still there. i give up. It minor but was just bothering me, oh well

but since youre too fucking lazy. Its more than likely (like a 99.9999999% chance) your wheel hub/bearing misaligned.

motormounts would only really be noticeable if they were semi-bad at an idle, and if really bad, at every speed.

My sister had that problem in her Altezza and it was her Top Wishbone arms that were gone...

Fixed my problem. It turns out the the front tires were so bad. They had camber damage from the old spring/strut setup. The rear wheel is so unbalanced that you cant make it roll and stay up.

My advice:
check your rubber
balance
align
also make sure wheels are on at the right torque specs

Also make sure a belt hasnt shifted or seperated in a tire. that can do some damage

This happens lots on small trucks or SUVs with like road tires. "Cupping" I think is the term when the tires get bumps etc.

Yes cupping is the term and it is usually more noticable when the tires in the front are cupped real bad. when they are in the back it is much harder to hear or feel so if your tires in the back are in better condition and you dont have money for new tires just put the better, smoother tires up front

Cupping or Chopping tires are caused from worn out suspension components and also lack of tire rotations. We get them at work all the time and some are really bad. Today we actually had a 95 prizm come in and the rear tires were so out of round it felt like we left a wheel loose. When we lifted the car up i could literally lift the whole strut. It was really weak. And they had really cheap walmart tires on the car so they wore out fast.

FWD cars usually have chopped tires in the rear. Rear wheel drive cars usually have it in the front. Its basicly the tires that arent doing anything but rolling.

You can have a wheel be out of balance by either having a bent rim or having tire belts out of whack.

thanks for the fuckin help. Next time youre havin a bad day, try jumpin off a cliff, its simple, short, and painless

As for everyone else, the tires are fairly new so didnt look too much into the tires and dont think any of the wheels are bent or cracked, otherwise discount tire wouldve told me while doing the rotations.

I took a look. I had to reset my password since I haven't visited TN in almost a year now. You're right. They don't really answer anything. You want to check if your wheels, tires, and bearings are all in good shape and balanced. Any one of those will cause a vibration. Could be that you hit a pothole and bent the wheel or threw a tire belt out of whack.
