Parting out the Rolla

Alright guys, today is a sad day for me. I've been planning and piling up parts for many months with the anticipation of starting a project rolla. However, after a lllooonnnggg discussion with my Dad this morning, he made it clear that I am not allowed to do a project. I only have one garage bay available to me and my Dad stores his 350z and Acura Tl in the other two bays and says I don't have enough room to do major work on a project and he doesn't want his cars to get damaged. So, instead of doing a project, I'm parting out my daily and selling the parts I aquired for my project and getting a more high performance daily (z, si, xrs, wrx, etc). I'm very sad that I am parting my Corolla out because even though its "just a Corolla", I really do love it and think its a great little car. I'm going to slowly start pulling parts off of my car and be putting it back to stock because I still need to use it as my daily until I get my other car. So here's a list of a few things I'm going to be getting rid of, but let me know if you need anything and I'll see if I have it. All these parts are for the 7th gen.

-D2 coilovers (about a month old) $OLD
-OBX header (good condition about a year old)
-Drag DR-31 16in. rims (Bronze, about a year old, no curb rash)

As for the project pieces I have:
-Kakimoto cat-back racing exhaust (about 2 3/8in.) $OLD
-Kouiki chrome housing headlights and corners (pics up in new thread)
-Corolla GT "C" grille (pics up in new thread)

PM me with offers if intersted. Like I said, I don't have all these parts available to ship out immediately, but if your seriously interested, I will pull them off my car and get them to you ASAP. Let me know.

Sorry to hear that bro.

What year is your corolla? I am interested in your D2 coilovers. if it fits on 97-02, then it should fit mines.

Thanks for the sympathy; I'm truly dissappointed that I will not be driving it anymore becuase it is truly a great car. But atleast it will be staying in the family. On that note, I probably should have made my post more clear but I'm not "parting out" my car in the literal sense, I'm parting out the aftermarket parts I installed and putting it back to stock for my sister.

So sorry, ChicagoCruise but I gotta keep my visors. But I will post a pic of the grille within the next few days as I start pullin stuff off.

Wasabinuts2go: My car is a 97. However, different sites list my coils to fit the 97-02 while other sites say they fit 93-97, so I'm not positive if they will fit your car.

Anyone intersted in parts, PM me and we can work some numbers. Thanks again guys, I'm still gonna stick around cus this is such a great car community.

Sorry to hear that you need to abandon your project.
But why you can't do the project? From the parts that you're selling here, I think you can install all of them in 1 day or 2 days max. If the problem is just the garage, you can install all those things in the drive way or at your friend's home. It's not like those things will take you a month or so to do it.

Outside of the Headlights and Kakimoto exhaust, all the other parts were on my daily. I was just starting to accumilate parts for my project which would include a BT swap, shaving and tucking the engine bay, body work, paint, etc, etc (very messy and time consuming processes). My time frame for the project would be approximately a 2-3 years. Not a simple project and my Dad was not willing to indefinately give up a bay of his garage and risk damaging his vehicles. I'm indeed very dissappointed, but I guess every cloud has a silver lining. Thanks for the sympathy.

Ah, half an inch more should be good... good luck with that! Are the shocks built for the 2+" drop?

Sorry but I never took pics of her in her final state. Suspension was only on a brief time and I was busy with school. And she's all back to stock so pictures would be useless now. Sorry.

You wanna slam it more? Must not live near snow. I scrap my oil pan on snow and ice here in Chicago and I'm lowered 1.25". I can't go through alleys with my car or else I'm dead.

I'm right here lol. I've been following this one the whole time, but his car is a 97. Different gen, and i don't need coilovers, because you got me covered there, I heard a header isn't really worth it, and on a personal note, I just don't like that type of rim. I googled it lol. And the exhaust means nothing to me, because I just got a new one. And the headlights and grill aren't for my car. So, basically, there's nothing here for me. LOL. But believe me, I've been haunting this thread. Not to mention, the coilovers, header, and exhaust are sold anyway.

a header helps you the most. a catback on these cars will net maybe 1 or 2 whp. IMO if you want an exhaust do the whole thing to see/feel a difference. wasnt crazy about the obx header though.

Not really. There's only a really small gain with an aftermarket header. You could just port and polish the stock header for approximately the same gains.

This is what I've heard in a few different places.
